## What is Gear?

## Features and limits

Intervals use days, weeks, months, years, kilometres, miles or workout hours. Gear has local reminders, calendar event creation, service history and optional Strava sync. Maintenance records are available locally and sync through Apple’s private iCloud database when available. Gear offers full backup export and restore, kilometers or miles, and Delete All Data. There is no separate Gear account. Sync propagates deletions; exported backup files remain independent.

The free plan allows up to three items. Gear Pro adds unlimited items and an AI assistant for photo identification, tasks, intervals and service-note scanning. AI requests may be rate limited. Strava supplies gear mileage and selected activity durations. Gear does not provide Apple Health, Garmin or Android integration in the current app.
