Gear helps you organise maintenance. These terms cover the app’s connected
services and this website.

## Who provides Gear.

Gear is provided by Egor Sazanov, working under the brand addicted. Contact
[gear@addicted.sh](mailto:gear@addicted.sh) with service or terms
questions. By using Gear’s services, you agree to these terms. If you cannot
agree, do not use the connected services.

The app downloaded from the App Store is also subject to
[Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless an applicable custom licence is supplied through the App Store.
These service terms do not replace that licence or Apple’s terms.

## What Gear does.

Gear stores items, maintenance tasks, intervals, and service history. It can
schedule reminders, prepare calendar events, import supported information
from Strava, and provide AI suggestions through Gear Pro. Features may
change as the app develops.

You are responsible for entering accurate dates, usage readings and
intervals, reviewing saved information, and checking that notifications and
integrations work for your needs. Keep separate copies of records you cannot
afford to lose. Gear stores records locally and syncs through iCloud when
available. Sync propagates deletions and is not an independent backup.
Export a Gear backup to a safe destination before deleting data or
troubleshooting. iCloud availability and timing depend on Apple and your
account and device settings.

## Maintenance still needs your judgment.

Templates, wear indicators, projected dates and AI responses are estimates
or organisational aids. They are not inspections, certifications, or
medical, veterinary or professional maintenance advice. A photo cannot
establish that an item is safe to use.

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and qualified professional advice.
Check the physical condition of your equipment. Do not rely on Gear alone
for safety-critical decisions or urgent care. Notifications may be delayed
or prevented by device settings, connectivity, stale usage information or
other factors.

## Free use and Gear Pro.

The free plan supports up to three items. Gear Pro adds unlimited items and
assistant features. The App Store purchase screen states the available
subscription periods, current local price and any trial or offer terms
before you confirm a purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before
renewal. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account’s subscription
settings. Removing Gear does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are
handled through Apple, subject to its rules and applicable consumer law.
Visit
Apple’s cancellation guide](https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) or
[Apple’s refund request service.

Assistant access may be subject to request limits and temporary availability
restrictions. “Unlimited items” does not mean unlimited AI requests. Restore
Purchases restores eligible purchase access, not locally stored maintenance
records.

## Your information and AI requests.

Your photos, notes and records remain yours. Submit only material you have
the right to use. By requesting a connected feature, you permit us and the
necessary providers to process the relevant information to deliver that
feature, as described in the Privacy Policy](https://reportaproblem.apple.com/).

With Pro, choosing a photo while creating an item starts AI identification
automatically. Review AI-generated names, intervals, wear estimates and
notes before using them. AI can produce inaccurate or incomplete results.

## Other services.

Apple, Strava, Anthropic and other providers operate under their own terms
and policies. Integrations depend on their availability and the access you
grant. Gear is not affiliated with or endorsed by Strava or Apple. A
calendar event saved from Gear is independent of the original task and will
not automatically follow later changes.

## Use the service fairly.

Do not bypass purchase checks or rate limits, interfere with the service,
attempt unauthorised access, submit unlawful material, or use the assistant
to harm others. We may restrict online access when reasonably needed to
address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. This does not remove
rights you have under applicable consumer law.

## Availability and responsibility.

We aim to keep Gear useful and reliable, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted
access, error-free suggestions, delivery of every reminder, or recovery of
local data. To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided as
available and we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate inputs,
reliance on estimates, third-party outages or failure to maintain your own
records.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits warranties, remedies or
consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. No provision requires you
to waive mandatory protections in the place where you live.

## Changes and contact.

Updates may change features or these terms. We will revise this page’s date
and give notice of material changes where required. For a problem or
concern, contact [gear@addicted.sh](mailto:gear@addicted.sh) so
we can try to resolve it.
