A few checks for the most common problems. If you are still stuck, send us the details.
A reminder did not arrive.
In your iPhone or iPad notification settings, find Gear and check that notifications are allowed. Check whether Focus or other notification settings are silencing alerts.
Open the task and check its interval, last-done date, and reminder lead time. For kilometre or hour tasks, Not enough data yet means no projected reminder is scheduled. Update mileage or sync Strava first. Gear schedules future reminders; it does not replay missed alerts.
The used distance looks wrong.
Check the item's current mileage in Edit Item, then check Odometer at last service, km in the task's editor. Used distance is the difference between those readings. When recording older work with Mark as Done, enter the mileage from the service date.
Strava has not updated.
Open Gear with an internet connection and pull down on the main item list. Sync runs while you use the app, not continuously in the background.
In Settings, check the connected account. Edit the item to confirm the linked gear or selected workout sports. If access has expired, use Connect Strava again. For a temporary error, try later.
To enter mileage manually, choose Not linked in the item's gear picker, or Unlink and enter mileage manually when shown.
Pro is not showing as active.
Open Settings → Restore Purchases with an internet connection. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase. Check the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. When Pro is active, Gear also shows Manage Subscription.
The assistant could not finish.
Confirm that Gear Pro is active and your connection works. For a subscription-check error, try Restore Purchases. For a temporary or request-limit error, wait before retrying.
If a photo cannot be read, try a clear, closer image of the item or label. You can enter the details manually. Choosing a photo while creating an item with Pro starts identification automatically.
Records are missing on another device.
Sign in to the same Apple iCloud account on both devices. In Gear, check Settings → iCloud & Backup for account availability, sync progress or an error. Keep both devices online and allow time for Apple’s background sync. Data remains locally available while offline. Restore Purchases restores purchase access; use Restore Backup for a saved Gear backup file. Export a backup before troubleshooting. Avoid deleting the app as a troubleshooting step.
